The Sixth Bratislava Model United Nations (BratMUN 2006).

It is going to take place between October 25th and 29th 2006 in Bratislava, Slovakia (about 60 km from Vienna).

This year, BratMUN is going to be special and unforgettable, since it is the sixth MUN conference organized in Bratislava, so do not hesitate and read further information in attachment!

Dear Friends,

on behalf of the Bratislava Model United Nations (BratMUN) Organizing Committee I would like to invite you to the 6th Bratislava Model United Nation Conference that is going to take place in Bratislava on October 25th to 29th 2006.

As every year, also this year we are pleased that the United Nations Development Program and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovak Republic have extended the auspices over our event. Moreover our Conference has been included into The People Speak, a project covering events that promote global understanding and discussion all over the world.

We have news also for those who have attended BratMUN before. We still really value the importance of discussing issues in small groups as well as on bigger forum. However we decided to bring it closer to the real UN, by having separately the General Assembly sessions and then the committees sessions and not mixing them together. Therefore we will have one central topic for the first day and half, that will be discussed in the General Assembly and then 6 smaller topics for 6 separate committees in the second half of the Conference.

And lastly we have the great pleasure of being part of the twin MUN with Tajikistan. Our partners in Tajikistan were so interested in this project that they decided to host one in Dushanbe. Your colleagues in Dushanbe will be discussing the same issues as you and then in the end you will have the opportunity to compare them.
